Posted by Travis Rink on Tue, Jan 10, 2017

Have you checked out our MimioTraining™ Quick Learn series yet? It’s a great place to find tips to enhance your lessons, learn how to integrate our products into your curriculum, and stay on top of the latest educational technology trends. We offer a variety of sessions every month taught by Mimio Expert teachers, as well as On-Demand recorded sessions, created to help educators achieve their classroom goals.

Adding Content to a Lesson

Using MimioStudio™ classroom software, you can add a variety of educational content to make your lessons even more powerful. You can easily add video clips, sound files, Flash multimedia interactive objects, and images. Additionally, you can add most other lesson resources you already have, such as PDFs, Word files, PowerPoint files, and even other interactive whiteboard files. Incorporating such content will allow you to make your lessons interactive and give you the ability to use any of the MimioStudio tools with your students.

To insert any type of file, click on Insert > File from the top menu in the MimioStudio software or click on the Insert File icon on the floating MimioStudio toolbar, located under the shape tool. You’ll then be asked to browse your computer for the file you want—simply select the file, click Open, and the content piece you selected will be ready.

You can learn more about this MimioStudio feature in our Quick Learn session “MimioStudio: Adding Content” on Tuesday, January 24 at 7:30pm ET.

Enhance Learning with Interactivity

It’s a new year and one of your resolutions may be to learn how to make lessons you already have more interactive so your students benefit even more. Using the MimioStudio software, learning new techniques to create interactive lessons or modify existing ones is even easier. In our “MimioStudio: Putting Instructional Design to Work” Quick Learn session, you will discover how to use various MimioStudio tools to create educationally sound and interactive lessons.

There are many instructional design components to consider when creating interactive lessons, which participants in the session will learn to apply. Getting your students involved interactively in lessons you present is key to engaging them and increasing their learning. Enhancing lessons with collaborative and assessment activities using the MimioMobile™ application adds another level to what you can achieve in your classroom. Join this Quick Learn session on Thursday, January 19 at 7:00pm ET to learn from expert teachers how you can make your lessons even better.
