Using Classroom Technology to Teach about the 2012 Elections

Posted by Dawn Aguiar on Mon, Aug 13, 2012

It's election year - a great year to teach social studies, and a great time to use your educational software and student response system to support that teaching. The Presidential and Congressional elections are in the news, in the media, and in everyday conversations, so even the youngest students are motivated to learn about them. And teaching about the elections is also a fresh way to cover state and local standards.

To help kick-start your fall lessons, Mimio is providing a series of lesson plans centered around the 2012 elections! These lesson plan ideas can be used with or without technology (though we think they're much more exciting when delivered with MimioTeach(tm) interactive whiteboard and MimioVote(tm) assessment).
