Clayton County Public Schools and EOS Education: Celebrating Teachers and More

Written by Boxlight | Mon, Aug 21, 2023

EOS Education by Boxlight and Clayton County Public Schools (Jonesboro, GA) proudly united to host the inaugural Teacher Appreciation Celebration, an event organized by the EOS Education Digital Learning Specialist Team. This extraordinary occasion not only celebrated and honored the District’s exceptional teachers but also underscored our enduring partnership and commitment to supporting the district's goal of making a positive impact on students through educational technology and services. This celebration also serves as one of the many collaborative events we have planned with CCPS.

During the event, the Boxlight MimioSTEM Mobile added an exciting touch, inspiring teachers and students alike with possibilities in STEM education. The event showcased the commitment we share with CCPS to engage and inspire learners through immersive, technology-driven experiences.

"At the CCPS Teacher Appreciation Event, we dived into immersive STEM experiences,” commented Jonathan Lockwood, Boxlight STEM Training and Development Specialist. “From crafting rockets with the Robo E3 3D printer to unveiling pH mysteries with Labdisc, it was hands-on learning at its best. These activities mirror the vibrant classroom experience we aim to create, blending technology seamlessly. Exploring the STEM Mobile and MyStemKits curriculum platform highlighted the exciting journey ahead."

Congratulations to the winners of ed tech tools at this inaugural event. Lyndsey Phillips, a 10th-grade English Teacher at North Clayton HS, is celebrated as the Digital Classroom Champion for the 2022-2023 academic year, recognized for her outstanding integration of instructional technology. Lyndsey's dedication to creating an engaging digital learning environment is rewarded with a plaque and a Juno system. Additionally, Lyndsey's success extended into the raffle, where she not only claimed the Digital Classroom Champion title but also won a Robo 3D printer.

Another winner, Krista Stuckey, the new STEM teacher at Rex Mill Middle School, also won a 3D printer. Kudos to Lyndsey, Krista, and all the exceptional educators acknowledged during this event. Your commitment and innovative spirit continue to inspire and empower students, making a lasting impact on their education and future achievements. We express our gratitude for your remarkable contributions to CCPS and the teaching profession as a whole.

Our collaboration extends beyond events like this. It's rooted in the meaningful interactions we have with CCPS educators and learners. Their insights help us design professional development content that is creative and practical, ensuring that the needs of classrooms are met. Through our long-standing relationship, we have gained a deeper understanding of how our solutions are being used, and this knowledge informs our ongoing efforts to refine and innovate our products and services.

As the district Digital Learning Specialist team, we align with their commitment to seamlessly integrate technology into education. The CCPS Mission Statement is to “empower scholars to achieve academic, professional, and personal goals by providing equitable access and experiences that build skills in literacy, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration” and we thoughtfully develop training experiences that align to this objective. Our goal has always been to help educators to enhance teaching and learning experiences for both them and their students.

We're honored to be part of the Clayton County Public Schools’ journey and look forward to continuously enriching education through our partnership and collaborative endeavors.
