In February, we celebrate and honor the lives and rich contributions of African Americans throughout our history. Black History is filled with tales of inspiring and heroic people and many of these men and woman have overcome great obstacles to impact remarkable change on the United States.

To celebrate Black History month, we have created free lessons to use with MimioStudio classroom software.  In these interactive and engaging lessons (grades K-5 and grades 6-12) we examine Black History and the lives of a few of these extraordinary individuals: Abolitionists Sojourner Truth and Frederick Douglass; Civil Rights Activists Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; and more current leaders, Thurgood Marshall and President Barack Obama.
