Horsley Park Public School (Sydney, Australia) is a small primary school, situated in the semi-rural outskirts of Sydney. Made up of of eight classes - four mainstream and four providing support for children with autism and intellectual disabilities – a goal of Horsley Park is “positive behavior, cooperation, and a growth mindset are encouraged and supported through a positive environment.”

For some years, the school used SMART boards in their classrooms but they were beginning to show their age and Horsley Park was looking to replace them. “We started investigating, to see what was out there in the market,” said Leearna Borg, STEM coordinator and teacher at Horsley Park. “We knew that technology had moved on considerably.”

After an introduction by Shantel Wilson, Education Consultant with ASI Solutions, Horsley Park decision-makers decided that the Clevertouch interactive touchscreen displays were just what they needed. Commented Borg, “(Shantel) told us all about the Clevertouch and it sounded like the perfect match for our requirements. We were sold.”

Key features of the Clevertouch interactive touchscreen display that convinced the school to move forward with this investment included its Super Glide Touch technology for a fluid writing experience and cloud drives that can be synced with displays so that teachers can work from anywhere and share content from any device.

Borg stated, “What we really loved was the interactivity of the Clevertouch. Particularly the way that a teacher could annotate the teaching material during a lesson and have those notes saved straight into the Google shared drive for students to access.”

Overall, choosing Clevertouch was a great decision for teachers and students. For more on how Horsley Park Public School utilizes Clevertouch interactive displays, read the case study here.
