The theme of this year’s TCEA Convention and Exposition is “Passionate Educators. Limitless Possibilities.” The TCEA Convention is a yearly event devoted to connecting educators who have different roles, responsibilities, expertise, and skills for a dynamic learning experience spread across four days, January 30 – February 2, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Educators can choose from over 700 sessions on a variety of topics including STEAM, project-based learning, school safety, digital citizenship, and more.  

With the 2019 winter trade show season in full swing, it’s time to get ready for another great year at the TCEA Convention and Exposition. Held from February 4–8, the convention will be in San Antonio, Texas this year—an exciting location change from past years in Austin.

This convention is the place for administrators, teachers, and tech specialists to network, collaborate, and discover new technologies to bring to their classrooms nationwide. With over 1,000 informative sessions and 450 companies exhibiting at the conference, TCEA offers a comprehensive look at the latest and greatest ideas and products in the EdTech industry.

At the top of the new year, a new season of EdTech trade shows is about to begin, starting with Bett 2019 from January 23–26 in London. Bett is the first industry show of the year and will showcase 850 leading EdTech companies and over 100 startups, all focused on transforming education with technology.

The conference will bring together nearly 35,000 educators, offering many opportunities for networking and collaboration with colleagues. Between the countless options for professional development and the exciting things to do in the city, here’s what you won’t want to miss at Bett 2019:

Most of us would agree that the ISTE conference is the destination for educator-tested strategies and extraordinary resources for transforming learning and teaching. It’s also the place to get connected to and network with the brightest minds in the education technology arena beyond the conference workshops and exhibit hall. Last week, we discussed the biggest trends from ISTE 2017. This week, it’s my turn to give you an educator’s perspective from this year’s conference.

The Boxlight Mimio team has settled back into their daily routines after FETC (January 24–27) in Orlando, Florida and TCEA (February 6–10) in Austin, Texas. As always, both events were exciting and enlightening, and reminded us how our tech-savvy educators know they must stay on top of education trends in order to learn how teaching and learning can best benefit from technology’s near-constant changes.

It’s time to get ready for one of the “must-attend” events for innovative educators: TCEA Annual Convention and Exposition. Held in Austin, Texas from February 6–10, this yearly convention brings together campus- and district-level educators (administrators, teachers, tech directors, media specialists, etc.) to explore educational technology integration and best practices that enhance productivity and build engaging teaching methods. Plus, the event offers stellar networking opportunities!

Classroom Connections: Trade Shows and Conferences Not to Be Missed

In our busy, social media crazy world, we often forget the importance of being in a live face-to-face setting with others from the education community. Being active in both your industry trade association of choice or other key conferences can bring with it many benefits. 

FETC 2017 is just around the corner! This four-day event, held on January 24–27, is a fantastic opportunity to greet old colleagues, meet prospective collaborators, and learn from the pros—including hands-on explorations of the latest hardware, software, and successful strategies for integrating technology across the K-20 curriculum. As always, the conference will be held in The City Beautiful: Orlando, FL. From city attractions to workshops and the booths (don’t miss Boxlight at booth 114!), here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:
